Manly Dad is about encouraging men to take deep pride in fatherhood. It’s about becoming true men through sacrifice, honoring our wives with the respect they deserve, and raising strong boys and beautiful girls.  Manly Dad features articles discussing the good life of family life.

I'm the one with the beard.

My name is Sam Koenen, and I’m the writer of Manly Dad. I’m married with two kids (one of each). I live in Montana, now and always. I’m a father and husband, a writer, teacher, and hiker. I like sitting on my porch with my wife in the last moments of July evenings. I love reading nearly anything (often aloud to my family), wrestling with my kids, and getting outside for any reason at all. Most of all I love sharing what I’ve discovered about this world by writing and teaching.
